Shane holds an Associate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical), is an Officer of the Institution of Engineers (Australia) and is a member of the Maintenance Engineering Society of Australia (MESA) and the Mining Electrical and Mining Mechanical Engineering Society (MEMMES). His career includes industrial management positions in metals manufacturing and metallurgical services industries in the UK and management consulting focusing on life-cycle physical asset management. Alun is a founding member of the Institute of Asset Management and also one of Australia’s leading practitioners of Strategic Asset Management and Reliability-centred Maintenance. Alun was personally trained and mentored by John Moubray, the designer and author of Reliability-centred Maintenance 2 and is one of a select number of Practitioners referenced in the book. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a member of Engineers Australia, the Asset Management Council (Australia), the Institute of Asset Management, and the Project Management Institute. Phil was personally trained and mentored as an RCM2 practitioner by the late John Moubray in 1991, and has enjoyed a thirty-year career in asset management consulting in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Asia. His assignments have included; RCM training delivery, facilitation, and implementation; asset management system development and implementation; Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) through life support analysis; and asset management and maintenance audit and performance improvement programmes. His industry experience includes commercial aviation; rail rolling stock and infrastructure; petro-chemical; mining; defence (land, sea and air); and electricity and water utilities.
